DALLAS — The Freeman Company (TFC) today announced the promotion of Chris Schimek to President of Freeman Events & Exhibits, recognizing his almost 30 years of leadership, operational excellence, and commitment to advancing the live events industry.
Schimek has spent the majority of his career with TFC, helping build one of North America’s premier event operations organizations. Most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Freeman Events & Exhibits, he has led the teams responsible for planning, producing, and executing thousands of live events each year, helping modernize operations through innovation while earning a reputation for excellence, trusted partnerships, and a steadfast commitment to clients.

Throughout his career, Schimek has helped transform Freeman’s operations by embracing innovation, elevating safety standards, and building a culture rooted in service and collaboration. Beyond Freeman, he is a respected industry leader, serving as Immediate Past President of the Exhibition Services & Contractors Association, actively contributing to the U.S. Travel Association, and recently being appointed an Employer Trustee for T.E.A.C.H. (Teamsters Education And Career Help), the Teamsters National Training Trust. He has also built trusted partnerships with venues, destination management companies, and labor organizations to advance workforce development across the industry.
